Chapter 7-10

In Chapter 7 they are still at the club Guilty Pleasures and they are talking to Anita about how she can save her friend Catherine. At this time Catherine is standing right next to them and she doesn't understand what they're talking about and why she is in danger. Jean-Claude, Aubrey and others explain to Anita the circumstances; saying that if she helps them with the vampire murders and who the murderer(s) is they will wipe Catherine's memory clear of the night and she will not be harmed; but if not they will own her and she will most likely die. take Anita to their "holding place" somewhat like a dungeon and she is beaten and abused while waiting to hear from the master vampire; Nikolaos. While being abused Aubrey knocks her out and really harms her life so to save her so she will be able to speak with Nikolaos, Jean-Claude has to give her some of his eternal life as well as his strength. At first Anita doesn't understand so the woman vampire; Theresa says, "You are immune to his glance (Jean-Claude) his voice, his mind. You will serve him out of willingness, nothing more." They then tell Anita that someone will come for her when Nikolas is ready to speak to her, then they shut the door and leave her in the cold dark room. While she is down there she sees a rat and then starts to hear noises. She then gets a better look and she sees four giant rats; however there was nothing rat like in the stare and although she admits to never have seeing a wererat she presumes that that is what one looks like. They were the size of a man but had a rat like face and had a huge nakes tail that wrapped around it's legs. They harass her for awhile but never really harm her because Nikolaos said that they were to only scare her a little bit, not harm her physically. Chapter 10 ends by Theresa coming to get Anita and they kind of spat at eachother back and forth because Anita says she does not scare easily.
